When the MTM Uploadr program encounters a problem a message box will be displayed detailing the error encountered. A more detailed record of this error is also recorded in the application log to help better understand the error.
The following sections detail common error messages you may encounter whilst using the program. Where possible some simple instructions have been given to resolve the error.
The settings file contains information about how the application should process your source data. Each broker will have a customised settings file which is critical to the running of the application.
To resolve this issue please contact a member of the Boatshop24 support team who will supply you with a new copy of your settings file. This file should then be copied into the root of the MTM Uploadr program files directory which is by default:
C:\Program Files\BoatShop24 Limited\MTM Uploadr\
Please also ensure that the settings file is named settings.xml. In the event that the file requires renaming, right click on the file and select the rename option.
The mapping document is used to translate the broker's source data file into a format which can be imported into the Boatshop24 databse.
A more specific error message can be found in the application log. The application log entry for the mapping document error will give a detailed description of which section has caused the error. It may be that a specified column in the broker's source data file is missing or an unexpected value was found.
This error is usually encountered in the following situations:
This error is produced when the application is unable to create a standard XML data feed which the broker's data will be translated into. If you encounter this error please contact a member of the Boatshop24 support team who will be able to resolve this issue.
This error message is displayed when the location of the source data file has not been inputted into the source data text box.
This error message is displayed when the location of your advert images have not been supplied.
In the case of not wanting to supply any images for this upload, please enter the location of an empty directory.
This error message is displayed when the location of your advert videos have not been supplied.
In the case of not wanting to supply any videos for this upload, please enter the location of an empty directory.
This error message is produced when the settings file does not contain a field to tell the application what format the broker's source data file is stored in. If you encounter this error please contact a member of the Boatshop24 support team who will be able to resolve this issue.
This error message is displayed when the application was unable to copy an image to the data feed temporary directory which will be sent to Boatshop24.
This may be caused by the following:
This error is displayed when either an internet connection is not available or an error has ocurred on the Boatshop24 website.
Firstly please check you internet connection is active by starting Internet explorer and navigate to a website other than the default home page.
If an internet connection is active, it maybe that the Boatshop24 website is currently unable to receive data uploads, in this case please try again later. If after trying again later you still receive this error message please contact a member of the Boatshop24 support team.
This error is produced when the application is unable to write to the MTM Uploadr settings file. Please contact a member of the Boatshop24 support team who will be able to resolve this issue.
Once a data feed has been processed, the MTM Uploadr program will archive the generated files into an archive directory. This error is not critical and the data feed will have still been sent to Boatshop24.
