Boat Trader Magazine was first launched as Buy a Boat for under £10,000 in 1993. This was relaunched in August 2006 as Boat Trader, devoted to selling new and used crafts for both private and trade under £50,000.

Boat Trader is aimed at anyone in the UK buying or selling a boat and other marine equipment for under £50,000 and has a monthly circulation of over 18,000. The magazine is split into clearly defined price ranges; boats under £10k, £20k, £30k, £40k and boats £40k and over. Additionally, Boat Trader constantly reviews the pricing guide for used boats, contains a buyer's and seller's guide, an events guide and has Boat Jumble pages. It is available on the third Thursday of every month with a cover price of £2.60.
